Soldiers training during the first world war. A part of the Agriculture Hall was used as an Armory.

Grandview Lodge when it was owned by Peggie Higgs. Home was built by Maurice Marsden and later owned by Jack Moore. The building up on the right is the Orange Hall around which Wilfred Crawford built his apartment house.

Thompson & Ludgate mill purchased from Armstrongs who had built it about 1872 and ran it under S&J Armstrong. It was bought in 1919 by Robert Harvey who ran it a number of years. Later his son Bernard went in with him.
