08-01 That the Township of McKellar accept the minutes of the December 17, 2007 Council meeting as circulated.

Visitors: Mr. Ted Woods and Ms. Tracey Atkinson were in attendance to present to Council an initial preliminary development concept proposal for Part Lot 15, Concession B to develop a seniors condominium complex with up to 120 units including common elements and amenities. Ms. Atkinson stated that a website of the concept proposal would be developed and that the address would be given to the Township when available.

08-02 That the Township of McKellar hereby give By-law No. 2008-01, being a by-law to authorize temporary borrowing, First and Second reading.

08-06 That the Township of McKellar appoint the whole of Council to sit on the Committee of Adjustment for 2008.

08-07 That the Township of McKellar endorse the City of Waterloo's resolution requesting "the Province of Ontario to fully exempt all Ontario municipalities from paying PST, with the understanding that the savings realized be mandated to fund existing infrastructure renewal in local municipalities."

08-08 That the Township of McKellar endorse the City of Waterloo's resolution calling upon "the Provincial and Federal governments to re-examine how municipalities are funded in regards to infrastructure and work together with a view to providing long term and sustainable infrastructure funding programs."

08-09 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Region of Durham's resolution requesting the Federal Government to "revamp the criteria for Employment Insurance to ensure Employment Insurance acts as it was designed to be which is an insurance program to assist during periods of unemployment."

08-10 That the Township of McKellar endorse the City of Owen Sound's resolution supporting the One Cent NOW campaign.

08-11 That the Township of McKellar authorize the Road Superintendent to attend the Pavement Rehabilitation & Preservation Workshop in Mississauga on January 29th and 30th. Costs to be paid.
