McKellar Pioneer College

Learn to Quilt with local quilting group. To be held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 12:30 to 4:00 pm at the Dunchurch Knox United Church. All are welcome and registration is not required. The cost is $300 per month. Contact Jane Bottrell at (705) 389-2370 for more information.

still has spots available in the following winter classes.

made out to the Township of McKellar into the Township Office.

BOOKBINDING will Joy Allan. This class will be held at the Council Chambers on Saturday March 6th and 13th. The cost is $30, which includes supplies for a sewn hard cover book. Optional supplies would include; 2 sturdy flat boards approximately 12"x6" (ie. 1/2" plywood, or 1" pine), two 3" clamps, papes, fabric for cover.

The "COOKING FOR HEALTH AND ENERGY" series. Gain a new understanding of how what you eat impacts your body, mind, and overall state of wellness. The cost is $25 per class.

March 27th, 9:30 - 2:30, Hot and Spicey.

April 17th, 9:30 - 2:30, How the Chicken Crossed the Road to Financial Freedom - The economy of organics.

May 15th, 9:30 - 2:30, Edible Wilds - Menu from Mother Nature's Kitchen.

June 19th, 9:30 - 2:30, Berries, Berries, and More Berries.

McKellar Farm Producers Market
The Township of McKellar is currently in the planning stages of a McKellar Farm Producers Market. This weekly summer market would feature local producers of farm, agriculture, and craft products from within a 100 mile radius of McKellar. The Market will bring visitors to our community and will stimulate public interest in, and consumption of, local products. The Market will promote and encourage established and new producers. For more information, or to become involved in ensuring the success of this endeavour,

The Market will be held at Minerva's Mill Pond Park, 677 Hwy 124 in the Village of McKellar on Saturdays 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Victoria Day Weekend through to Thanksgiving Day Weekend.

The McKellar Agricultural Society will hold the McKellar Fall Fair on
September 11, 2010 at the McKellar Community Centre.

The McKellar Sunshine Club hold bid euchre parties every Wednesday evening
starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Community Centre. (September-June)

The McKellar Sunshine Club hold exercises on Thursdays followed by
a light lunch, euchre, and carpet bowling. (September-June)

The McKellar Senior Citizens Centre hold bid euchre Sunday afternoons
at the McKellar Community Centre year round.

The Near North Outdoor Club hold euchre parties every Saturday night
in the hall at the corner of Centre Road and Hurdville Road.

The Hurdville Community Club hold euchre parties at the Hurdville Hall Fridays at 7:30 p.m.

The McKellar Senior Citizens Centre are holding Bingo Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.
July through August at the McKellar Community Centre.
