07-181 That the Township of McKellar accept the minutes of the August 7, 2007 Council meeting as circulated.

Visitors: Mr. Roger Godbeer, on behalf of the Longhorn Community, was in attendance to present to Council their comments on the Wye Ridge Holdings development proposal. A copy of Mr. Godbeer's deputation was distributed to Council.

Mr. Kenneth Godfrey, representing Mr. Robert Dickson, was present to read Mr. Dickson's letter of objection to the proposed Wye Ridge Holdings development proposal. A copy of Mr. Dickson's letter was distributed to Council.

Ms. Carolyn Kelly was present to voice her concerns regarding the Wye Ridge Holdings development proposal. Ms. Kelly asked Council to adhere to the principles of good stewardship of the land and the lake and promote higher standards of development. Ms. Kelly distributed a copy of her deputation to Council.

Mr. Greg Rae was present to provide Council with his concerns regarding the Wye Ridge Holdings development proposal and spoke of the increased risk of invasive species such as zebra mussels being introduced into Lake Manitouwabing among other things.

Ms. Jean Kingston was present to express to Council her strong opposition to the proposed Wye Ridge Holdings development proposal and spoke of what she believes is a conflict of interest on the part of one of the developers. A copy of Ms. Kingston's deputation was distributed to Council.

Mr. Ted Davidson was present to address Council regarding the processing of the Wye Ridge Holdings rezoning application under the revised Planning Act and conformity with the Township's Official Plan among other things.

Mrs. Janet Crich was present to address Council regarding the Wye Ridge Holdings development proposal. Ms. Crich stated her view that the provisions of the zoning by-law for residential should be met among other things.

Mr. Richard Kent was present to address Council regarding the Wye Ridge Holdings development proposal and spoke of treating all members on the lake equally among other things.

Mr. David Generali was in attendance to address Council regarding the Wye Ridge Holdings proposed development and the Gartner Lee Environmental Report. Mr. Generali stated that it was his view that not enough water samples or core samples were taken. Mr. Generali also spoke of the location of the proposed sewage disposal plant and the proximity to the small bays among other things.

Mr. Don Hotchkiss was present to speak to Council regarding the Wye Ridge Holdings development proposal and requested that Council undertake an Official Plan review. Mr. Hotchkiss distributed a copy of his deputation to Council.

Ms. Larissa Nowicki was in attendance to present to Council her objections to the proposed Wye Ridge Holdings development proposal among other things.

07-182 That the Township of McKellar authorize the Clerk and Georgian Engineering to tender for the closure of the Lee's Road Landfill site as per closure plan.

07-183 That the Township of McKellar accept the quote of Shanahan's of Phelpston in the amount of $36,936.00 for the supply of four 40 yard bear proof roll-off containers.

07-184 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Municipality of West Grey's resolution supporting amending Section 36(8) of the Building Code Act, 1992, as amended, to provide municipalities a time limit of two (2) years from the date of discovery for commencing legal proceedings.

07-185 That the Township of McKellar authorize the Treasurer to attend the AMTCO Annual Conference in Minett on September 10th and 11th, 2007. Costs to be paid.

07-186 That the Township of McKellar instruct the Clerk to forward the attached proposal to the owners of 6 Pine Point Trail.

07-187 That the Township of McKellar authorize interested Councillors to attend the District of Parry Sound Municipal Association fall meeting on October 1, 2007. Costs to be paid.

07-188 That the Township of McKellar accept the quote of Paul Forth, OLS in the amount of $8,000.00 plus GST for surveying work on Plan 207, M-225 and 249 as per quote.

07-189 That the Township of McKellar authorize the Fire Chief to contact the City of Mississauga expressing an interest in purchasing a 1988 pumper truck in the amount of $6,000.00.

07-190 That the Township of McKellar adjourn to meet again on September 4, 2007 or at the call of the Reeve. Meeting adjourned at 10:39 p.m.
