06-227 That the Township of McKellar accept the minutes of the September 12, 2006 Special Council meeting as circulated.

Visitors: Mr. Paul Beauregard was present to discuss with Council the ownership of part of Peninsula Shores Road and the implications of part of the road being held in private ownership. Mr. Beauregard, on behalf of the residents of the road, requested that Council consider some form of financial assistance to bring the road up to municipal standards. Council requested that Mr. Beauregard put his various proposals in writing and submit them to Council on behalf of the Cottage Association.

Ms. Shirlene Johnston was present to review with Council consent application B22/2006 (Cole). After discussion, Ms. Johnston was to amend the application which would be further reviewed by Council.

06-228 That the Township of McKellar hereby give By-law No. 2006-16, being a by-law to amend the Zoning By-law for Part of Lot 23, Concession A, First and Second reading.

06-229 That the Township of McKellar hereby give By-law No. 2006-16, being a by-law to amend the Zoning By-law for Part of Lot 23, Concession A, Third reading and Passed in Open Council this 18^th day of September, 2006.

06-230 That the Township of McKellar hereby give By-law No. 2006-17, being a by-law to assume Cardinal Court for maintenance purposes, First and Second reading.

06-231 That the Township of McKellar hereby give By-law No. 2006-17, being a by-law to assume Cardinal Court for maintenance purposes, Third reading and Passed in Open Council this 18^th day of September, 2006.

06-232 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Township of Carlow/Mayo's resolution requesting the Province of Ontario "to permit all vehicles owned by municipalities to operate without license plates and be allowed to use coloured diesel fuel in all vehicles not just off-road vehicles."

06-233 That the Township of McKellar, pursuant to Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, move into closed session at 8:30 p.m.

06-234 That the Township of McKellar come out of closed session at 8:45 p.m. and reconvene the meeting.

06-235 That the Township of McKellar accept the reports, recommendations and directions arising from the closed session held September 18, 2006.

06-236 That the Township of McKellar appoint Marc Hamel as Public Works Lead Hand.

06-237 That the Township of McKellar hire Glen Woolner to the position of Equipment Operator.

06-238 That the Township of McKellar approve application for consent, file No. B30/2006 (Hall-Weber) subject to the various commenting agency approvals.

06-239 That the Township of McKellar adjourn to meet again on October 2, 2006 or at the call of the Reeve. Meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
