06-164 That the Township of McKellar accept the minutes of the June 19, 2006 Council meeting as circulated.

Visitors: Mr. Peter Good and Ms. Krista Nozak representing the Manitouwabing Lake Community Association were present to review with Council the Association's water testing program on Lake Manitouwabing under the Ministry of the Environment Lake Partner Program. Ms. Nozak stated that the Ministry of Environment program does not cover the cost of E.coli testing and requested that Council consider financially assisting the Association. Boating safety on the lake was also discussed. Council stated that the Ontario Provincial Police has responsibility for enforcement on the lake and that they should be contacted when there is an issue. Reeve Moore thanked Mr. Good and Ms. Nozak for attending.

06-168 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Municipality of Clarington's resolution urging "the Government of Ontario to
a) provide adequate funding under the Clean Water Act to land owners;
b) review the implementation strategy with and to the satisfaction of the commodity groups and the AMO before it is included in the regulations;
c) transfer adequate funds to the municipalities for the implementation."

06-169 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Regional Municipality of York's resolution urging the Government of Ontario and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario to take immediate action to:
"1. devote more resources to manage the increase in the numbers of International Medical Graduates applying to the IMG Program
2. take action to make the temporary/pilot IMG program permanent and self-sufficient
3. prevent delays and remove barriers to the assessment of experienced internationally - trained physicians through the RPA program so that they practice in Ontario without unnecessary delays."

06-171 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Eastern Ontario Wardens' Caucus and the Western Ontario Wardens' Caucus resolution petitioning the Minister of Labour "to amend Ontario Regulation 285/01 to include a full exemption from Part VII of the Employment Standards Act, 2000, as amended, for paramedics in the employment of municipalities, other service delivery agents or delegates across the Province of Ontario."

are merged with the abutting lands and the existing dwelling being either converted to an accessory building, sleeping cabin or demolished. All provisions of Zoning By-law No. 95-12 as amended to be adhered to. Applicant to deed to the municipality that portion of land 10 metres from the centre line of the road allowance as it abuts the proposed retained and severed parcels should a survey reveal an encroachment.

Maughan Company, not to exceed $5,975.00, to locate the centre of unopened road allowance along Concession B, Lots 21, 22 and 23 as it abuts Lots 26, Concession 11 and Lots 25, Concession 12 and Concession line between Lots 23 and 24, Concession B. Treasurer is hereby authorized to transfer payment from the Parkland account for trail development.
