The Interim Taxes are due the first Monday of April and the Final Taxes are due the first Monday of September. If the Monday is a Statutory Holiday then the taxes are due the following day.
By law, a Penalty of 1.25% is added on the first day of default and the first day of every month thereafter.
Payments may be made by telephone and internet banking to the Bank of Montreal, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Scotia Bank and Kawartha Credit Union. Your account number is your property roll number which is located at the top left corner of your tax bill.
Payments and other correspondence may be dropped off after hours at the Township Drop Box located outside the Office/Library main door.
When paying by cheque and a receipt is required, please include the whole bill and a self addressed stamped envelope. Please make the cheque payable to "Township of McKellar" in Canadian funds.
