06-11 That the Township of McKellar endorse the City of Port Colborne's resolution requesting the Province of Ontario "to provide relief and remedy for working families and seniors who are hardest hit by unacceptable spikes in the cost of living and by the likely property tax increases to come and that the Province of Ontario be requested to end its downloading of provincial programs and the use of municipal property tax dollars for the subsidization of provincial health and social services programs and that the Province of Ontario be urged to work with the Association of Municipalities of Ontario to develop a plan to begin the immediate uploading of provincial program costs back to where they belong to be funded through Provincial revenues."

06-12 That the Township of McKellar endorse the City of North Bay's resolution petitioning the Province of Ontario to "honour its commitment to supporting Stronger Community by directing the Chief Medical Officer of Health to encourage local Health Units to substantially reduce their levy to municipalities."

06-13 That the Township of McKellar endorse The Nation Municipality's resolution petitioning the Federal Government to "review the existing method of distributing the gas tax and establish a fair and equitable formula for the distribution of the gas tax rebate as follows:
50% of the amount shall be calculated based on the number of lane kilometres of highways per municipality; and 50% of the amount shall be calculated on a per capita basis per municipality."

06-14 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake's position expressing "its disapproval of all of the recommendations contained in the Report of the Expert Panel on Water and Wastewater Strategy which gives Regional Municipalities exclusive jurisdiction over all elements of the water and wastewater sector at the exclusion of lower tier municipalities with less than 10,000 customers."

06-15 That the Township of McKellar endorse the City of Brampton's Committee of Council recommendation "that Bill 169, Section 27(3) be further amended to require the driver of a vehicle to remain stopped until all the children and the school crossing guard in the crossing have cleared the roadway."

A deposit in the amount of $1,500.00 shall be required to cover all costs involved.
