05-260 That the Township of McKellar endorse the City of Greater Sudbury's resolution No. 2005-297 requesting that the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs do not implement changes to the Agricultural Drainage Infrastructure Program Procedural Manual as they relate to "farm tax credits" and "allowances".

05-261 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Township of Oro-Medonte's resolution requesting that the Ministry of Natural Resources recognize the threat of predation to livestock by cougars/pumas within Ontario and further requesting the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to initiate a program of compensation to livestock owners for predation by these wild animals within Ontario.

05-262 That the Township of McKellar endorse the attached Regional Municipality of Niagara's resolution regarding border security and documents required for travel.

05-263 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Township of Wilmot's resolution petitioning the Federal and Provincial governments "that if gasoline is to be taxed, it be maintained at a fixed rate per litre to reflect zero revenue gain at senior levels of government and further that the Federal government take the necessary steps to protect consumers against opportunistic price gouging by oil companies."

05-264 That the Township of McKellar urge the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing to vote against Private Members Bill 123 if the reference to 'municipal councils' is not deleted in the Bill as reported by the Standing Committee; and that Norm Miller, M.P.P. be advised of the lack of this council's support for the inclusion of 'municipal councils' in Bill 123.

Pursuant to Section 391 and 427 of the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001 and By-law No. 2003-04, Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Township of McKellar intends to consider a By-law to provide for the regulation of Open Air Burning and adopt fees and charges for services provided under the By-law at its regular meeting on November 21, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Written comments and/or verbal comments will be considered at the public meeting on November 21, 2005. For further information, please contact the Municipal Office during regular office hours.
