04-59 That the Township of McKellar accept the minutes of the March 1, 2004 Council meeting as circulated.

Councillor Zulak declared a conflict of interest on the following deputation and item III (1.)
(ATV By-law) and vacated her chair.
Visitors: Ms. Sharon Sheffield was present to discuss with Council the proposed ATV By-law and express her opposition to the passage of the by-law. Reeve Moore thanked Ms. Sheffield for attending.

04-65 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Township of Horton's resolution petitioning the Government of Ontario to "amend the Safe Drinking Water Act and its Regulation removing the need for additional testing of water beyond the regular testing for coliform and e-coli in small municipal non-residential systems, in small community businesses and in local community churches if the current test results indicate the water is safe to drink."

04-66 That the Township of McKellar endorse the City of Kawartha Lakes' resolution requesting that the government of Ontario limit the powers of the Ontario Municipal Board in dealing with amendments to municipal official plans and zoning by-laws implementing official plans.

04-67 That the Township of McKellar endorse the City of Kawartha Lakes' resolution petitioning the government of Ontario to "review the system of Current Value Assessment (CVA) and implement a system of property assessment that protects property owners in Ontario from volatile significant property assessment increases and promotes a more stable system of property assessment within the Province of Ontario."

04-81 Whereas the transaction between Windswept Investments and the Parry Sound Area Information Centre Board has been ongoing for an extensive period of time and there appears to be no conclusion to this transaction;
Therefore be it resolved that the Council of the Township of McKellar request the Parry Sound Area Information Centre property to be put out for sale on the open market.
