05-161 That the Township of McKellar accept the minutes of the June 6, 2005 Council meeting as circulated.

Visitors: Mr. Drew Racher from the Ridge at Manitou Golf Course was present to request that the temporary entrance to the golf course off Centre Road be allowed to continue. Council requested that a survey of the entrance be provided prior to considering the matter in order that ownership can be determined. Reeve Moore also requested that the stop sign be put back up at the end of Fire Route #160. Mr. Racher indicated that he would attend to Council's requests.

05-162 That the Township of McKellar hereby give By-law No. 2005-14, being a by-law to amend By-law No. 95-12, the Zoning By-law for Part of Lot 34, Concession 4 and Part of Lots 32, 33 and 34 in Concession 5, First and Second reading.

05-163 That the Township of McKellar hereby give By-law No. 2005-14, being a by-law to amend By-law No. 95-12, the Zoning By-law for Part of Lot 34, Concession 4 and Part of Lots 32, 33 and 34 in Concession 5, Third reading and Passed in Open Council this 20th day of June, 2005.

05-164 That the Township of McKellar accept the quote of Parry Air Heating and Cooling in the amount of $5,500.00 for the supply and installation of a replacement air conditioner for the Community Centre as per quote.

05-165 That the Township of McKellar endorse the City of Cambridge's resolution requesting that "the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, John Gerretsen, and the Minister of Tourism and Recreation, Jim Bradley, move to amend the Occupiers Liability Act so as to clearly establish that those using trail systems are deemed to do so at their own risks so that owners and volunteer organizations will not be liable in any way for any damages arising from the use of trails by the public."

05-166 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Town of Cobalt's resolution petitioning the Province of Ontario and the Ministry of Environment "to change the focus of the Ministry's reporting and regulatory requirements from one of enforcement and penalizing municipalities to a regulatory system that would allow municipalities to benefit from and utilize the expertise and cooperation of the Ministry of Environment".
