05-73 That the Township of McKellar accept the minutes of the March 21, 2005 Council meeting as circulated.

Visitors: Mr. Tom Nelson and Mr. Larry Barnes from Sail Parry Sound Inc. were present to review with Council the organization's plans to develop a Public Park and Sailing Centre adjacent to the Old Town Beach in Parry Sound. Mr. Barnes reviewed the organizational structure of Sail Parry Sound and requested that Council consider a financial contribution to the project. Reeve Moore thanked the gentlemen for attending and stated that Council would review the funding request during its budget deliberations.

05-74 That the Township of McKellar hereby give By-law No. 2005-06, being a by-law to deem Lot 7, Plan 42M-586 not to be part of a registered Plan of Subdivision, First and Second reading.

05-75 That the Township of McKellar hereby give By-law No. 2005-06, being a by-law to deem Lot 7, Plan 42M-586 not to be part of a registered Plan of Subdivision, Third reading and Passed in Open Council this 4^th day of April, 2005.

05-76 That the Township of McKellar approve General Government Voucher #3 in the amount of $298,386.33 as follows:

General Government 43,101.88

Waste Services 11,480.49

Belvedere Heights 14,650.33

Fire Department 6,341.11

Community Centre 3,486.42

School Boards 219,326.10

05-77 That the Township of McKellar approve Road Voucher #3 in the amount of $21,937.55.

05-78 That the Township of McKellar declare the month of June as Senior's Month in the Township and encourage all citizens to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of our seniors.

05-79 That the Township of McKellar authorize the Clerk to attend the AMCTO Zone 7 Spring Workshop in Mattawa on May 4th and 5th. Costs to be paid.

05-80 That the Township of McKellar agree in principle to participate in the formation of the West Parry Sound Geography Network and authorize the expenditure of a maximum of $4,500.00 towards the Phase 1 implementation plan and the drafting of the Memorandum of Understanding between participating municipalities.

05-81 That the Township of McKellar donate $50.00 towards the Near North Outdoors Club Pitch-In Day on Saturday May 7, 2005.

05-82 That the Township of McKellar donate $200.00 to the McDougall School Council to be used towards the Victoria Day long weekend fireworks display at McDougall School.

05-83 That the Township of McKellar direct the By-law Enforcement Officer to respond to R. Slawson letter dated March 21, 2005.

05-84 That the Township of McKellar authorize the Road Superintendent to attend the OGRA Municipal Legislation and Legal Responsibilities course May 2 -4, 2005. Costs to be paid.

05-85 That the Township of McKellar authorize two Fire Fighters to attend the Fire Prevention and Inspection Course in Parry Sound.

05-86 WHEREAS the Board of the West Parry Sound District Museum has approached the seven West Parry Sound District Municipalities for ongoing financial support on a long-term, annual basis;

that the Council of the Township of McKellar agree to financially support the West Parry Sound District Museum using a levy formula based on 1/3 assessment, 1/3 population and 1/3 households figures and direct the Treasurer to release the 2005 contribution of $9,141.27;

that funding to the museum be reviewed on an annual basis and that the Museum Board produce a new model of governance and operation by years end;

that Resolution No. 2005-62 is hereby rescinded.

05-87 That the Township of McKellar instruct the Clerk to tender for custodial services at the Community Centre.

05-88 That the Township of McKellar adjourn to meet again on April 18, 2005 or at the call of the Reeve. Meeting adjourned at 10:58 p.m.
