Council Meeting Minutes February 21, 2005

05-40 That the Township of McKellar accept the minutes of the February 7, 2005 Council meeting as circulated.

Visitors: Mr. Dietmar Zschogner of Middle River Hannovarians was in attendance to present the Township with a sketch of the show horse "Estevan", which the Township assisted in sponsoring.

Reeve Moore thanked Mr. Zschogner for the drawing and wished Mr. Zschogner and "Estevan" well in future competitions.

05-41 That the Township of McKellar authorize Len Brown to attend Module 2 of the AMO Municipal Councillor Training Program in North Bay. Costs to be paid.

05-42 That the Township of McKellar endorse the County of Frontenac's resolution petitioning the Provincial Minister of Labour "to amend Ontario Regulation 285/01 to include an exemption for paramedics in the employment of municipalities across the Province of Ontario."

05-43 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Village of Sundridge's resolution petitioning the Province of Ontario to redesignate the Village of Sundridge, Township of Strong and the Township of Joly as part of the North East Local Health Integration Network.

05-44 That the Township of McKellar authorize the Deputy Fire Chief to attend the Company Officer Program at the Ontario Fire College on May 5, 2005. Expenses to be paid.

05-45 That the Township of McKellar approve application for consent, file No. 45/2004 (Crossman) subject to the various commenting agency approvals and the applicant deeding to the Township that portion of land 10 metres from the centre line of the travelled road as it abuts the proposed retained and severed parcels should a survey reveal an encroachment.

05-46 That the Township of McKellar rescind resolution No. 92-284 granting the owner of Block R, Plan 301 permission to access the subject property by way of the Concession allowance between Concessions 6 and 7. Permission to gain access to the subject property via the public lane off Maplewood Drive is hereby granted.
