05-27 That the Township of McKellar endorse the Township of Opasatika's resolution petitioning the Minister of Natural Resources to "immediately suspend this closure and initiate a public consultation process to reassess the corporate rights and obligations associated with the Excel Sawmill, the potential impact of its closure on the community, and the alternatives to this drastic and catastrophic decision taken without any form of consultation with the negatively affected parties."

05-32 That the Township of McKellar approve application for consent, file No. B3/2005 (Gallienne) subject to the various commenting agency approvals and the applicant deeding to the municipality that parcel of land 10 metres from the centre line of Broadbent Road and Dickinson Road as it abuts the proposed severed and retained parcels should a survey reveal an encroachment. Approval is also conditional on the applicant removing or relocating the cabin on proposed Lot 2 or rezoning proposed Lot 2 to temporarily permit the cabin while a building permit is applied for to increase the size of the building to meet the requirements of the zoning by-law. All parkland provisions shall apply.
