04-23 That the Township of McKellar accept the minutes of the January 19, 2004 Council meeting as circulated.

Visitors: Mrs. Myrna Fenton was in attendance to offer Council her comments and suggestions on the Economic Development Strategic Plan and the A.T.V. By-law and left her written submission with the Clerk. Reeve Moore thanked Mrs. Fenton for her comments.
Ms. Sharon Sheffield was present to request that Council consider exempting non-assumed municipal roads from the A.T.V. By-law. Ms. Sheffield stated that the property owners on these roads pay for and maintain the roads themselves and was concerned about increased maintenance costs resulting from A.T.V. travel.

04-24 That the Township of McKellar hereby give By-law No. 2004-02, being a by-law to permit the operation of ATV's on municipal highways, Third reading and Passed in Open Council this 2nd day of February, 2004.

Visitors: Staff Sergeant P. Jollymore from the West Parry Sound O.P.P. Detachment was in attendance to update Council on policing initiatives and to address any concerns that Council has. Discussion regarding A.T.V. travel on public roads and Community Safety Zones ensued. Reeve Moore thanked Staff Sergeant Jollymore for attending.
