04-247 That the Township of McKellar authorize interested Councillors to attend the Parry Sound District Municipal Association meeting on October 4, 2004.

04-248 That the Township of McKellar accept the proposal of Parry Sound.com in the amount of $1,979.00 plus tax for the development and maintenance of the Township website as per proposal. All work undertaken on the website remains the property of the Township.

04-249 WHEREAS pursuant to Section 259 of the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001 there is a vacant seat on Council;

AND WHEREAS Section 263 of the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001 sets out that Council may fill the vacancy by appointing a person who has consented to accept the office if appointed;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of McKellar deems it in the public interest to fill the vacant seat on Council by appointing the candidate for Council in the 2003 election who received the highest number of votes but was not elected to Council.
